HFM week 2023

Published on 3 November 2023

The High Field Magnet (HFM) Annual Meeting 2023 held from October 30 to November 2, 2023, at CERN. The HFM R&D Programme is a strong international collaboration launched by CERN in response to the 2020 update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics with the aim of developing the next generation of accelerator magnets for future colliders. The meeting was an opportunity for the collaboration to review activities, share results, build new connections, and solidify the vision for the future.

The Group of Applied Superconductivity contributed to the event with two presentations: one from Gianmarco Bovone, on the implementation of the internal oxidation process in Nb3Sn wires (link), the other from Carmine Senatore on the tests at high magnetic fields of HTS conductors (link).
