Interview to Prof. Carmine Senatore on EuroCirCol
“The Horizon 2020 project EuroCirCol, coordinated by CERN, aims to assess the feasibility, reliability and cost effectiveness of key technologies for the next-generation hadron collider. For this project, coordinated by CERN, 16 partners from 9 countries work together to develop innovative designs for the collider ring, accelerator magnets and a cryogenic beam vacuum system.”
The Group of Applied Superconductivity of the DQMP led by Prof. Carmine Senatore is part of the collaboration for the high-field accelerator magnet design. Read the interview realized by Euresearch to Prof. Carmine Senatore, who explains the UNIGE contribution in this project, and to Dr. Michael Benedikt, CERN, coordinator of the Future Circular Collider (FCC) Study.
