FCC week 2017 in Berlin

The 3rd Annual Meeting of the Future Circular Collider Study took place from 29 May to 2 June 2017 (link to the webpage). More than 500 scientists, leaders of high-tech industry, universities and research centres met in Berlin, Germany to review the progress on Future Circular Collider (FCC) concepts for the post-LHC era.
Prof. Carmine Senatore gave an invited talk on the degradation of the critical current under transverse stress in high performance Nb3Sn wires (link to the presentation). This is a topical subject as Nb3Sn is the superconductor intended for use in the next generation accelerator magnets.
