The 17th European Conference on Applied Superconductivity (EUCAS 2025) took place in Porto, Portugal, from September 21st to 25th, 2025. The event attracted over 1’200 delegates from around the world, making it the major gathering for experts in the field of this year. Attendees had the opportunity to exchange knowledge on the latest developments across a wide range of domains, from materials science to high-field magnet applications.
The abstracts from the Group of Applied Superconductivity were all chosen for oral presentations.
- –Challenges and Solutions for Implementing Internal Oxidation in Internal Tin Rod-in-Tube Wires for High Energy Physics Applications, Presenting author: Francesco LONARDO;
- –Characterization and scaling of the angular dependence of the critical current in commercial REBCO tapes for high-field applications, Presenting Author: Romain BABOUCHE;
- –Influence of Wire Design on Ic Degradation of Accelerator-Grade Nb3Sn Wires Under Transverse Compressive Stress, Presenting Author: Carmine SENATORE
Along with these presentations, the group’s work was highlighted in several other talks by partner institutions and laboratories.
